The North Carolina Internal Affairs Investigators’ Association is pleased to announce the 2017 Internal Affairs Investigators Basic School. The school will take place at 3220 Garner Rd. Raleigh, NC 27610. The training will be held in the NC SBI Auditorium and hosted by the NC State Highway Patrol. The NCSHP has generously reserved room for the first 30 requesting to attend. The rooms will sleep two per room. They have will also provide meal tickets to all attendees during the training. The training will be held from Monday, October 23rd, 2017 to Thursday, October 26th, 2017.
Training topics will include: Internal Affairs and Personnel Law, Processing Internal Affairs Complaints, Formatting and Managing Internal Affairs Files, Interview and Interrogation Procedures for Internal Affairs Investigators, Basic Pursuit Investigations, Introduction to Social Media Investigations, Critical Incident Response, Effective Leadership and Thinking for Investigators, and more.
Registration for the school will be $175 per attendee for all member agencies and $225 for non-member agencies. Registration for the class will start at 8:00 am, on Monday, October 23rd, and the training will begin at 8:30 am.
